BritPool General League Rules

These rules are specific league rules and apply in addition to Case's general rules.
PROVISIONAL NAMES (i.e.: a name with less then 20 games) may join the BritPool League.
No Forced Forfeits "FF" under any circumstances. This includes, quitting and forfeiting on your opponent or yourself before a game has ended.
Sportsmanship is an expected requirement with BritPool. Remember to use common sense. You should say gl and gg before and after a match.
There are 2 yahoo glitches where you must NOT take BIH. 1. Both a stripe and solid are potted on the break. Choose your ball and carry on playing without moving the cue ball. 2. A stripe, solid and the cue ball are potted on the break. Remove cue ball from the rack and tap it so that your opponent gets BIH.
Abusive language in not accepted at any time in either the lobby or the game tables. A mandatory penalty of 3 days is standard, but not limited.
Deliberately causing trouble in the lobby will not be tolerated.
Any dispute or other issue that you may have against another member, or staff member, must be taken to a private table and NEVER aired in the lobby.
Any form of cheating is unacceptable. This includes, the proven use of aiming assistance programs, leaving on the 8 ball, bringing up the cancel box and FF if your opponent gets booted. Other forms of cheating will be looked at on an individual basis.
In tournaments, any disputes will be settled by the TD that is conducting the tournament and the decision of the TD is final. Failure to comply with the instruction of the TD in any dispute will result in the disqualification of the offender.
Rules and penalties for any breach have been sorted into 5 categories with Category A being being more of a misdemeanour to Category E being the most serious. This has been done so that you will know in advance what the likely penalty will be for any given action and therefore govern yourself accordingly. Your fate is in your own hands.
Category A
  • Arguing with another member (or non-member), in the lobby of BP, at a game table or in instant messages.
  • Taunting or jinxing during a league game or tourney.
  • Swearing in the lobby.

    PENALTY: NOT less than 24 hours in the penalty box.
Category B
  • Continued harassment or intimidation of another member in the Forum, lobby, game table or in Instant messages.
  • Repeated breaking of lesser offence rules - Categories A
  • Force forfeiting another member.

    PENALTY: NOT less than 7 days in the penalty box.
Category C
  • Insults and/or racist comments to another member.
  • Unproven accusations of cheating by another member.
  • Ignoring a TD, HTD or Admin’s rulings or call for cessation.
  • Repeated breaking of lesser offence rules – Categories A or B.

    PENALTY: NOT less than 30 days in the penalty box.
Category D
  • Defaming the league.
  • Continued loud abuse of other members (CAPS).
  • Behaviour in the lobby of BP that shows the league in a bad light to members and non-members.
  • Repeated breaking of lesser offences rules – Categories A, B or C.

    PENALTY: NOT less than 999 days in the penalty box.
Category E
  • Repeated breaking of lesser offence rules - Categories A through D.

    PENALTY: NOT less than banishment from the league.
ALL TD’s, HTD’s and Admins have the authority to warn members of their indiscretions, and are to forward screenshots of the alleged offence and the warning to the HTD responsible for complaints, or they will not be recognised.
